| Chateau de La Barre is a little less than 2 hours drive from Paris, by the motorway, exiting at La Ferté Bernard in direction of St Calais. Turn right off the D1 2km prior to reaching St Calais. Easy parking in the extensive chateau grounds Alternatively, take the TGV train from Paris to Vendome (43 minutes) rent a car at the station from Avis or Europcar, and drive 25 minutes to St Calais, then 2 km onto the D1 in direction of La Ferté Bernard, turn to the left into the chateau property Alternatively, fly from London Stansted airport to Tours, rent a car and drive 55 minutes to St Calais and onto Chateau de La Barre |
